Today, on the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) I want to send one message to people all over the world, I wish you a day free from fear, hate, and prejudice.

We are a small, marginalised group. But we are not asking for anything extraordinary. We are asking to live our lives normally, to exist openly, and to be treated with the same dignity as anyone else. This is who we are. This is how we were created.
As the Bible says, we are all made in the image of God. And again, the Bible says, “Come as you are.” If that is true, then all of us belong without apology, without hiding, without being forced to explain the most personal parts of ourselves.
Think about it. We don’t question someone for being straight. So why should anyone feel they have the right to question us for who we love or who we are? Our freedom of expression and our freedom to be ourselves are not special requests. They are basic human rights.
So to my fellow queer members and queer communities across the world. let’s stand together today. Let’s join hands and speak up against prejudice. Let’s remind the world that love, dignity, and respect belong to everyone.
Happy IDAHOBIT Day. May it be a day where more people feel safe, seen, and free to just be.
